Neurodiversity

The concept that neurological differences, such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and dyspraxia, are natural variations of the human brain rather than disorders to be fixed. Neurodiversity recognises that different thinking styles bring unique strengths and challenges.

Neurodivergent

A term used to describe individuals whose brains function differently from the "neurotypical" population. This includes people with conditions such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and dyspraxia.

Neurodiverse Coaching

A tailored coaching approach that supports neurodivergent individuals in understanding their strengths, overcoming workplace challenges, and developing practical strategies for success in their careers. It focuses on personalised techniques for time management, focus, confidence, communication, and professional growth.

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)

A coaching and personal development approach that explores the connection between thoughts, language, and behaviour. NLP techniques help individuals reframe limiting beliefs, develop confidence, and improve communication skills.

Executive Functioning

A set of cognitive skills that help with planning, organisation, time management, focus, emotional regulation, and task initiation.

Many neurodivergent individuals experience challenges with executive functioning, and coaching can help develop strategies to support these skills.

Workplace Adjustments (Reasonable Adjustments)

Changes or accommodations made by employers to ensure neurodivergent employees can work effectively. These might include flexible working hours, assistive technology, or adjustments to communication styles.

Mindset Coaching

A coaching approach that helps individuals shift limiting beliefs, build resilience, and develop a growth mindset to navigate challenges with confidence.
